The Other day, Oregon State lineman Tyler Patrick Thomas did something that he can’t be very proud of, and the team certainly is not proud of. Thomas was found drunk as well as naked, running around his neighbors yard, as well as inside her home, by police on Sunday morning, When Police went to arrest him, he took the 3 point stance, typical of college linemen during a football game, and lunged at police officers. Police were forced to use stun guns to subdue the intoxicated 19 year old football player.
Oregon state responded to the allegations by immediately kicking Thomas off of their football squad. The Police who said Thomas was “absolutely intoxicated,” arrested him and charged him with criminal trespass, resisting arrest, and criminal mischief. Regarding his dismissal from the team, Oregon State’s head coach, Mike Riley, told reporters “The move was not a one-time thing. It was a number of reasons. This was icing on the cake.” Thomas will appear in court on September 9th.
