If you want to give your home the perfect makeover without shelling out a fortune for it, you should consider reading through a home interiors blog.

Home interiors blog helps provide valuable suggestions and tips to do up your home in a cost-effective manner. Blogs are typically personal Internet journals that can promote products, offer valuable research materials, and you are sure to find a blog on almost everything under the sun.

Now you can even design the home of your dreams sitting in your house by accessing such an interior design ideas blog full of home styling ideas. These blogs guide you on how and where to buy new furniture for less or how to redecorate your old furniture.

A great way to start with home interior is by transforming the look of your home with curtains. Curtains, according to many interior designer ideas blog, are known to be a rather important addition to any home décor that can make a significant impact on the overall look of the home. Home interiors can be dramatically changed by introducing curtains that are perfect for creating your much desired ambience. Full-length curtains give a dressy and formal look, whereas short curtains look more casual.

Long curtains in folds help add a spirit of romance to a room just as fabric influences the mood and style factors. Curtains blog can help readers decide on the ideal fabrics for their curtains. You can choose from muslins silks and velvets to add a formal and warm feel to your home.

Home interiors blog can advise you to browse through websites for selecting curtains of your choice. You could even get yourself some samples to decide which fabric and style best suits the furniture in your room. You can select from a great range of roman blinds, made to measure curtains, and readymade curtains in diverse color palettes for giving your room that special touch. Made to measure curtains services allow customers to select their curtains from a superior quality fabric range, decide on a style and lining for it, and then choose the right accessories like tiebacks and valances for it.

Decorating ideas blog enables the viewer to decide whether he wishes to adopt a traditional and classic look for his home or wants to stick to the more contemporary trends. Modern curtains are plain looking, whereas traditional curtains are usually more elaborate having fringes, tiebacks, and pelmets along with matching valances and throws.

You should ideally go through a home interiors blog online to do up rooms in your home in different styles. Buying curtains for your bedroom will call for some considerations that are not needed when choosing curtains for your living room. While the living room curtains must be in sync with sofas and other furniture items, the bedroom curtains simply need to match with carpets, soft furnishings, and cushions or pillows.

All of us dream of owning a beautiful home, but few of us have the necessary expertise or the knowledge to snap up knickknacks or designer furniture items to make our home dazzle. Only browsing through magazines and looking at pictures of well-designed homes will not guarantee you a dream home. But, reading home interiors blog and interior design ideas blog online to learn home decorating tips will surely help.

7:00 p.m. ET. Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, Featured Columnist Dan Dinunzio here, live blogging the Boise State-Virginia Tech game as we get to see whether Boise State is really a national championship contender and whether the Hokies are headed in the right direction to a BCS Bowl. Join me for the next four hours as we talk everything from X’s and O’s to Erin Andrews to the blue Smurf Turf.

The excitement level and implications have never been bigger for a season-opener. Can Virginia Tech defense stop the prolific offense of Boise State led by quarterback Kellen Moore?

Virginia Tech has two offensive starts of their own in senior quarterback Tyrod Taylor and star tailback Ryan Williams. There’s no doubting the coaching talent in this game as Chris Petersen leads his Broncos against Frank Beamer’s Hokies.

Stay tuned as we are less than an hour away from kickoff.

Featured Columnist Jesse Yomtov here, live blogging the Oregon State-TCU game. The #6 Horned Frogs take on the #24 Beavers at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, where we’ll get to see how national title contender TCU fares against big time competition, and whether or not OSU is a force to be reckoned with in the Pac-10.

Join me for the next three hours or so, while I talk everything from Xs and Os, to Jerry Jones’ reconstructed face, to whatever else comes up.

__________________________________________________________________

10:18 p.m. E.T.- Katz has all the time in the world, but gets tripped up as he escapes the pocket. OSU punts it away.

10:10 p.m. E.T.- Quizz gets 7 yards on the draw play. He’s starting to get going. James follows up with a reverse to move the chains. End of the third. It’s showtime, folks. Still only one Jerry Jones sighting. WHERE YOU AT JJ?!

10:08 p.m. E.T.- Gingervitis takes it in by himself for his second rushing TD of the night, both of them on third down. 28-21 Horned Frogs with 59 seconds left in the third.

10:01 p.m. E.T.- Such a back and forth game. After the OSU touchdown, TCU is driving now. Into OSU territory with a 15 yard option, which been working for them all night. Beavers have got to do a better job containing the outside. Wesley over 100 yards on the night.

9:54 p.m. E.T.- After Quizz breaks loose with a 16 yard run down to the 2, he runs it in to tie it at 21. 5:33 to go in the 3rd.

9:51 p.m. E.T.- These Darrelle Revis commercials make me LOL. “If you wear this Nike gear, you’ll be unemployed!!!”

9:44 p.m. E.T.- Dalton throws a silly pick on the rollout. Great job jumping the route, but Ginger has gotta read the linebacker better.

9:39 p.m. E.T.- Still can’t believe there’s only been one Jerry Jones sighting tonight. Bart Johnson makes an awesome catch for the first on the low pass from Gingervitis. Might have hit the ground, but no challenge.

9:34 p.m. E.T.- Second half is underway. ESPN has switched up their camera angle on Holly Rowe so that it’s more of a close up on her face rather than her low cut shirt.

9:20 p.m. E.T.- Pulled the pork. Got into a loud debate about how to use a slow cooker. I know I’m right, that you’re supposed to put stuff in with the meat initially………Keys to the second half: TCU needs to keep Quizz in check. Their backers have done a great job bottling him up. Oregon State needs to contain Dalton and the option. Dalton has had all kinds of space to operate, be it scrambling or on the option, so OSU

is going to need to at least put a spy on him

9:13 p.m. E.T.- So at the half, TCU leads OSU by a score of 21-14. OSU coach Mike Riley says that they need to get Quizz loose, the obvious statement of the day. Holly Rowe still hasn’t buttoned her shirt….. ANYWAYS. I’m welcoming questions, post ‘em in the comments if you have! I’m about to check on the pork in the Crock Pot but I’ll be back in front of the laptop in 2 minutes.

9:09 p.m. E.T.- Ed Wesley bounces it in from 9 yards out. Big touchdown for TCU to have the lead going into the half. 21-14 with 49 seconds remaining. TCU had to capitalize on their field position there and they certainly did.

9:07 p.m. E.T.- Terrific return by Kerley, TCU starts at OSU‘s 23 yard line.

9:05 p.m. E.T.- Tank Carder jacks up Aaron Nichols on third down. Nichols down on the field, gets up and wanders off looking disoriented.

9:00 p.m. E.T.- Dalton scrambes on 3rd down, comes up just short. Ref is confused, almost calls illegal block in the back in the defense. Must be a Florida State grad…. Is that mean?

8:53 p.m. E.T.- Beavers forced to punt inside of 6 minutes remaining. TCU’s 4-2-5 has kept Quizz completely in check outside of the one 15-yard run. Rodgers only has 23 yards on 8 carries

8:44 p.m. E.T.- Fantastic play action rollout, Dalton throws the 2-yard TD to Jeremy Kerley. 14-14 with 8:32 remaining in the first half… I swear that Dalton has gotten even more ginger since the Fiesta Bowl. Eric Cartman does not approve.

8:42 p.m. E.T.- Dalton is really getting some zip on his passes. As good as he was last year, I don’t know if we saw him throw with so much power.

8:32 p.m. E.T.- Fake punt! Johnny Hekker hits Jordan Hoyer. On the next play, Katz goes long to Jordan Bishop for the 34-yard TD. Oregon State leads 14-7 with 11:57 left in the second.

8:29 p.m. E.T.- Now that we’ve had the JJ sighting, all that remains is when will the pork be ready for pulling. As the delicious smell of BBQ pork intoxicates my nostrils, Jacquizz runs for 15 yards, longest run of the night.

8:25 p.m. E.T.- What could they be chatting about? Bringing an NFL team to LA? #LameEntourageSubPlotJokeForTheWin

8:22 p.m. E.T.- FIRST JERRY JONES SIGHTING. With 42 seconds left in the first quarter, we spy him talking to Pac-10 commissioner Larry Scott. End of the first, tied at 7.

8:19 p.m. E.T.- Seriously, where is Jerry Jones? Shooting another ridiculous subplot on Entourage? OSU comes up short on third down then kicker Justin Kahut goes wide left on a 47-yard FG attempt.

8:12 p.m. E.T.- On third down, OSU‘s Aaron Nichols makes a tremendous diving catch on the sideline. Gets his left leg down inbounds. TCU calls a timeout to check it out, but the catch stands.

8:08 p.m. E.T.- Two story lines to keep an eye on– 1) When will the pork shoulder which had been in the crock pot since noon, be ready for pulling?, 2) Why haven’t we had a Jerry Jones sighting yet?

8:06 p.m. E.T.- On 3rd-and-Goal from the 6, Dalton takes it into the endzone himself out of the 5-wide set. Great read opting to take it outside. Kind of a whack celebration

8:02 p.m. E.T.- The leading active quarterback in wins, Dalton dives forward on 3rd and 5, picking up the first. Good call with the dive as opposed to the slide- shows he’s got some cojones. On the next play, Dalton connects with Skye Dawson on a 52-yard strike. Dawson absolutely torched his man.

7:55 p.m. E.T.- Dalton off target, picked off by Beavers safety Lance Mitchell. OSU gets the ball on TCU’s 31. Katz finds star wideout James Rodgers wide open across the middle for the 30 yard strike. Oregon State up 7-0.

7:51 p.m. E.T.- TCU’s D picking up where they left last year (sans the Boise State game), Wayne Daniels forcing Ryan Katz to fumble. OSU hops on it then fail on 3rd down. OSU punts it away.

7:48 p.m. E.T.- I think some Doritos 3D chips would be ideal to watch this game with. Unfortunately, they’re discontinued. Holly Rowe gives her first sideline report of the night. Is her shirt too revealing? Only time will tell.

7:38 p.m. E.T. – Inside of 10 minutes to kickoff. TCU is rocking their new Nike Pro Combat black unis with snakeskin print gray helmets, very cool looking.

7:26 p.m. E.T. – Welcome everyone, I’m eagerly awaiting kickoff 20 minutes from now. Just finished watching Jacksonville State upset Ole Miss, insane double overtime finish in Oxford.

Featured Columnist Collin O’Connor here, live blogging the Purdue-Notre Dame football game as we see how Dayne Crist and Brian Kelly fare in their opener against Robert Marve in his first start at Purdue. This is a very important game for both teams, and will have implications for the rest of the season.

Join me for the next three hours as we talk X’s and O’s to anything crazy I can think of about this game. I’m looking forward to a great game, and I hope you are too.

Feel free to leave comments. I love to hear whateveryone has to say.

___________________________________________________________________________

4:25 ET. The difference in the game so far is that Notre Dame can run and Purdue can’t. Another score by Notre Dame on the field goal. 10-0.

4:22 ET. A lot of people questioned Crist’s mobility after his ACL injury last season. Good run there.

4:20 ET. I’m very surprised at how well the Notre Dame secondary is playing today, even in the pass. Darrin Walls has been in on ever play, and of course, had that interception.

4:15 ET. Purdue can’t run the ball, except for Marve’s scrambling.

4:14 ET. Everyone, feel free to leave comments. I want to hear your thoughts on the game as well.

4:10 ET. If the Irish can run like this all day, it’s going to make Crist and Kelly’s jobs a lot easier. Touchdown Notre Dame. 7-0.

4:07 ET. All these Shotgun pass plays from the spread are making Knute Rockne turn in his grave.

4:05 ET. Cierre Wood is going to be a stud in the future. Look at this.

4:03 ET. Darrin Walls interception. That was a huge drive killer, but a great play by Walls.

4:01 ET. Gutsy call by Coach Hope. Good execution by Marve.

3:57 ET. Keith Smith will be all over the place today. Like Floyd on Notre Dame, Smith will be the big guy for Purdue.

3:55 ET. Notre Dame has to get their running game going if they expect to win. They can’t put all the pressure on Crist in his first start.

3:51 ET. Three and out for Purdue. Like the announcers said, if Marve kept his head up there, it would have been an easy first down.

3:46 ET. Ryan Kerrigan is going to be in there a lot. He lead the Big Ten in sacks last season, so Notre Dame will definitely have to keep their eye on him. Pretty decent first drive for Crist. Let’s see how Marve can do.

3:44 ET. I can already tell that Notre Dame has upped the tempo a lot. NBC has to rush to get the starting lineups across.

3:43 ET. Jason Wener, a key player for Purdue’s defense, went to the same high school as me. Just saying.

3:42 ET. And we’re off !

3:40 ET. “Our kids understand that we need to start winning games.” Yes, you’re right Brian Kelly. It starts here. A loss and you lose a lot of optimism; a win and everyone jumps on the bandwagon

3:35 ET. Can’t begin to think about how nervous Brian Kelly is right now.

3:28 ET. I am so excited. Finally the season is beginning, games on all night. Is there really anything better than a Saturday full of college football?

3:24 ET. I’ve heard both sides of the story. Notre Dame fans are expecting a high-powered offense and a rout of Purdue. However, Purdue fans are expecting to get it done with their new quarterback. As far as I’m concerned, it could go either way right now.

3:18 ET. About 20 minutes until kickoff. In case you were wondering, the line is Notre Dame 10.5. Thoughts?

For all the drama, designers, and dish, stay tuned for live updates straight from the 62nd annual Primetime Emmy Awards. (Plus, keep up with the Emmys on Twitter with Entertainment Editor Soraya Roberts during the show and Gossip Editor Cristina Everett during the red carpet!)

5 p.m. Alright folks, here we go. Let the red carpet begin!

5:03 p.m. TV Guide and E! are gearing up with the usual: fashion recaps from last year’s red carpet. No celebs in sight.

5:10 p.m. E!’s fashion peeps are predicting lots of nude and blush dresses tonight. Oh, and maybe some edgier frocks.

5:15 p.m. Did TV Guide host Tanika Ray just make up a word? Gourgeois. Oh brother.

5:20 p.m. E! is already getting into some heavy dish: rumor has it Mrs. Ellen Degeneres- the lovely Portia di Rossi- might be the replacement for Steve Carrell’s character on the office.

5:25 p.m. TV Guide is getting into the Fall TV previews. Let’s get back to the fashion people!

5:31 p.m. Between the “Dancing with the Stars” stunt on E! and the commercials on TV Guide, this is your last chance for a snack run.

5:35 p.m. “The Hills” duo Lo Bosworth and Stephanie Pratt are getting a “Mad Men” makeover on E!. Thrilling.

5:38 p.m. Shoe moment. E! has an exclusive glimpse at Christian Siriano’s new line (fab!) and he’s all about the shoes.

5:45 p.m. E! has a “Friends” flashback. Look at that hair.

5:47 p.m. “30 Rock” starlet (and unfairly gorgeous girl) Katrina Bowden looks stunning in a purple strapless sweetheart gown.

5:50 p.m. “Dancing with the Stars” host Brooke Burke has brought the bling- look at that necklace! Oh, and she’s not telling TV Guide any clues as to the new cast of the show.

5:55 p.m. The lovely “Modern Family” star Sarah Hyland is wearing Pamela Roland and Chopard jewels. Swoon.

6 p.m. OMG! TV Guide red carpet and “Bachelor” host Chris Harrison just asked cutie Rico Rodriguez (“Modern Family”) if he wanted to be the next Bachelor. Adorable.

6:01 p.m. “No Ordinary Family” beauty Julie Benz is also in a white one-shoulder gown by Pamela Roland.

6:03 p.m. Can we all just have a Jane Lynch moment? So charming. She looks amazing in a one-shoulder deep purple gown.

6:13 p.m. “True Blood” star Rutina Wesley is in a “hand painted” Douglas Hannant gown. She says she feels artistic in it.

6:20 p.m. Kelly Osbourne talks fashion with Ryan Seacrest: “I would definitely wear what Kim Kardashian has on. She looks amazing,” Osbourne said. The blond star chose a Tony Ward frock for herself.

6:23 p.m. Speaking of, Kim Kardashian chats up Chris Harrison. She’s wearing a white hot gown by Marchesa (and it’s not one-shoulder, thank goodness!). Next up, Eva Longoria in a classic black strapless gown by Robert Rodriguez.

6:30 p.m. Okay, what’s with all the black? Add one more to the list- Kathy Griifin in a black gown. Yawn.

6:32 p.m. “Glee” star Lea Michele has upped the ante in an Oscar de la Renta gown. Breathe, Gleeks, breathe.

6:38 p.m. Betty White! Chris Harrison and the Golden Girl talk crushes, cougars and TV. Her first Emmy’s was in 1952. Wow.

A plane crash that killed former Senator Ted Stevens as well as four others was survived by a former Secretary of the Navy, according to a feature on the Navy Times.

Former Navy Secretary Sean O’Keefe was aboard the private plane that crashed into a fishing village in Alaska on Monday. A former NASA spokesman has confirmed that the former SecNav survived the crash.

O’Keefe is currently the CEO of EADS North America. At one point, he also served as administrator for NASA. His teenage son Kevin is also among the four survivors of the accident, according to Glenn Mahone, a former spokesman for NASA. Mahone shared further that he was spoken with the family of O’Keefe, who shared that father and son suffered from broken bones and other injuries.

The feature shared that O’Keefe and Sen. Stevens were fishing buddies, and that they had been planning a trip in the area of the accident.

Sean O’Keefe served as the Secretary of the Navy under former President George H.W. Bush. His tenure, however, was rather short, having served only from October 2, 1992 to January 20, 1993, during the last months of the administration.

He served as the deputy director of the Office of Management and budget prior to being asked by President George W. Bush to head NASA in late 2001. He was at the helm of NASA when the shuttle Columbia broke apart during re-entry in 2003.

O’Keefe served with NASA until 2005, and went on to serve as chancellor of Louisiana State University.
