Rapper Clifford “T.I.” and wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle were arrested in West Hollywood Wednesday night for possession of a controlled substance.
Authorities reportedly smelled marijuana coming from T.I. and Tiny’s vehicle when the luxury Maybach sports car over. Police found a controlled substance (in the methamphetamine/ecstasy family) on the couple and took them into custody.
T.I. spent 9 months in an Arkansas prison in 2009 for a weapons charge. Wednesday night’s arrest is a violation of his probation.
T.I. and Tiny reportedly posted ,000 bail each and were released from custody at approximately 4:00AM Thursday morning.
T.I. and Tiny aren’t alone. A national DUI crackdown is currently in effect thanks to the National Highway Transportation Safety Authority from August 20-September 6.
