ESPN had covered the first three majors of the year extensively, but that is not the case this time. TNT is the exclusive home of the first two rounds, before CBS takes over for the ending. For today and tomorrow, the action doesn’t start on TV until the afternoon.
The PGA Championship 2010 TV schedule starts at 1 p.m. est on TNT today and tomorrow, and wraps up at 8 p.m.. However, many golfers were scheduled to play in the morning, including Tiger Woods today. Yet by the time 1 p.m. opens, the players may have just begun their opening round.
Once the TV coverage starts for TNT today, the main story will be the fog hanging around Whistling Straits. The first tee off was supposed to be at 8 a.m. est, with Woods going off at 9:20, but those plans were scrapped. As it turns out, fans could see most of Woods’ opening round on TNT after all, depending on what the fog does.
Today is bound to be crowded, as the PGA Championship 2010 TV schedule for round 1 ends at 8 p.m.. The players hope that the fog will clear up in time for all of them to finish their round by then. But TNT will get to cover more of today’s action live than they would have without the fog.
After today and tomorrow, the PGA Championship 2010 TV schedule will be split between TNT and CBS. TNT will cover the action from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, before CBS gets to cover the leaders. CBS will be on the air from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the weekend, and broadcast the passing of the Wannamaker Trophy.
