Miami quarterback Jacory Harris told reporters Sunday that he received at least one racially motivated hate message on Twitter following the Hurricanes’ 36-24 loss Sept. 11 at Ohio State. Harris threw four interceptions in that game.
According to Harris, the person who sent the message stated that Miami should not have “a black quarterback.” The school told its football players last week to stop using Twitter. Harris, whose Twitter account has since been deleted, said he could not remember if the tweet contained any threats.
