Gwen Araujo Murder Story on Lifetime Movie Network

Today Lifetime Movie Network will present the Gwen Araujo’s murder story at 8 PM. She was a transsexual woman who was murdered by four people in Alameda County in 2002.

She was attending a party, when during an effort to see her male genitals, four men Magidson, Cazares, Merel and Nabors beaten her and after that they strangled her to a place which was four miles away from the party venue. They brutally assaulted Araujo and buried her there.

Two of them were sexually intimated by her but as they came to know that Araujo was biologically male they became very angry. Two of them were charged with second-degree murder.

Her murder grabbed the media attention and people started taking interest in the case. Not only had this had many authors also written about her murder and highlight the transphobia and homophobia on her murder. The story of her murder was presented in TV movie, A Girl Like Me: The Gwen Araujo Story.

In 2002 Araujo first time met the four met who later murdered her. She was involved in oral and anal sex with two of them and she never revealed that she was biologically male. But unfortunately she attended a party which was arranged by Merél at a rented house. The four men and Nicole Brown who was Paul Merél’s girlfriend were also present there. During the party Brown by forced checked her and discovered her male genitalia. The revelation made the two men violent who were sexually involved with her. One of them struck Araujo badly with a frying pan and food cane. Not only this they also hit her head in the wall and dragged her to the garage. Cazares told during the investigation that he didn’t beat her so he couldn’t notice that she was died.
