Relatives of the Staten Island mom blamed for killing her four kids and herself lashed out at the NYPD Tuesday and demanded a federal probe of the suspected murder-suicide.
Sharon Scott said cops botched the investigation by first claiming her 14-year-old nephew C.J. was the culprit behind the crime – and then concluding her sister, Leisa Jones, did it.
“They don’t know heads from tails,” said Scott, 29. “It’s my nephew. It’s not my nephew. Now it’s my sister. What’s next?
“We are hoping the FBI or someone else will look into what happened to my family.”
Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly blamed leaks to the media, saying detectives “haven’t made a determination as to who was responsible for the deaths.”
The family of five was found in the Port Richmond home after an inferno last Thursday.
C.J. and his mother had undigested pills in their stomach and the teen was slashed across his throat.
Two other kids, Brittany, 10, and Melony, 7, were slashed to death with their mom’s straight razor, and Jermaine, 2, died of smoke inhalation.
Police at first suspected the troubled C.J. killed his family and himself, but a badly charred note with the words “am sorry” still visible was linked to the mother.
