The 2010 BMW Championship leaderboard has Matt Kuchar leading the way. At the other end of the the 2010 BMW Championship leaderboard is Kuchar, who turned in a first round of seven-under-par to grab the early lead. Kuchar is one shot ahead of fellow American Ryan Moore, and two shots ahead of Ian Poulter. All three players look to try to contend for the BMW Championship as the weekend progresses, and they probably have a great shot to do just that. Rounding out the current top five at the 2010 BMW is Retief Goosen and Charlie Wi, who both have scores of four-under-par so far on the course. They will have to hold off Justin Rose and Dustin Johnson, though, who weren’t too bad at three-under-par.
The first people who will be on the course Friday with early tee times are Y.E. Yang and Greg Chalmers starting at 8 a.m. on tee No. 10, and Justin Leonard and Bryce Molder on tee No. 1 beginning at that same time. Phil Mickelson, who was one-under-par through 12 holes on Thursday, will take to the course at 8:50 a.m., while Tiger Woods, who was two-over-par through 13 holes in the first round, will take to the course at 9:10 a.m. Those are local times, which means they will be on the course before the television coverage begins for round two of the BMW Championships.
The great thing about the 2010 BMW Championship is that they are offering live coverage online for those interested in watching the PGA Tour Playoffs for the FedEx Cup. This tournament will help decide the final field of 30 golfers who will play at East Lake.
